FAQs

Who pays for my care?
Most of GAFC clients are covered by Medicaid. We also offer private duty care services.

How do I know if I’m eligible for your services through Medicaid?
Group Adult Foster Care program guidelines require that patients are at least 22 years
old, have MassHealth Standard and live in affordable housing. You must need daily assistance with one or more personal care tasks, and you must have your physician’s approval.

What kinds of services do you provide?
We offer a range of home care services, from personal hygiene to household help.

How many hours of care will I get each week?
Every patient is different, and patients’ needs may change over time. We work closely with you to create a care plan so you’ll know exactly what to expect and when.

How do I know I’m getting the best care?
We hire only the most caring and skilled staff members. They participate in ongoing training to stay current on best practices and are continuously evaluated through patient surveys. Our patients’ comfort, health and safety are our top priorities.

What if I have a problem or accident when my caregiver is not there?
